An Old Hymn

I love these old hymns. As you all know, I did not have the privilege of growing up in Church as a child or youth. My conversion came much later. So when I read these hymns I love and appreciate them. I can relate to the words of the writers that penned them. If you are willing, I would like to challenge you to reflect on the following statements and hymn. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you so that God's ultimate goal can be accomplished in your life...to make you more and more into the very image of Christ. Take my Life and Let it Be Take my life and let it be Consecrated Lord to thee Take my moments and my days Let them flow in ceaseless praise Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of they love Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for thee Take my voice and let me sing Always, only for my King Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from Thee Take my silver and my gold Not a mite would I withhold Take my intellect and use Every power as Thou choose Take my will and make it Thine It shall be no longer mine Take my heart it is Thine own It shall be Thy Royal Throne Take my Love, my Lord I pour At Thy feet its treasure store Take myself and I will be Ever only all for Thee. ...Is it your prayer that God would "take your life and let it be consecrated" to him? Use this hymn as a sincere prayer so God can start that work today. I want to challenge you that one of the things that keep this from being our life anthem is sin. Do you have sin alive in your heart? Ask the Lord, who is faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness to wash you a new. Give yourselves completely to God since you have been given a new life.
